By accessing or using Vehicle Log Vault ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Vehicle Log Vault is a mobile application that allows users to track vehicle maintenance, log service events, and receive push notification reminders for scheduled vehicle maintenance.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • One account per person

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Tier

  • 1 vehicle tracking
  • Basic features included
  • No payment required

4.2 Premium Subscription

  • $1.99/month for up to 5 vehicles
  • Automatically renews unless cancelled
  • Managed through Apple App Store
  • Cancel anytime through App Store settings

4.3 Refunds

Refund requests must be made through the Apple App Store. We do not control Apple's refund policies.

5. User Content and Conduct

5.1 Your Content

  • You own the vehicle and service data you input
  • You grant us license to store and process your data to provide the Service
  • You are responsible for accuracy of information entered

5.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for illegal purposes
  • Abuse, harass, or spam other users
  • Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or exploit the Service
  • Attempt to abuse or circumvent push notification systems
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Share accounts with others

6. Push Notifications

  • Push notifications are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging
  • Only sent to contacts you explicitly add
  • Standard message and data rates may apply
  • You are responsible for obtaining consent from recipients
  • Contacts can reply STOP to opt-out

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Vehicle Log Vault and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Service "As Is"

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

8.2 No Professional Advice

Vehicle Log Vault is a tracking tool only. We do not provide professional automotive, mechanical, or maintenance advice. Always consult qualified professionals for vehicle maintenance decisions.

8.3 Maintenance Reminders

Mileage-based reminders are estimates based on your input. We are not responsible for missed maintenance or vehicle damage resulting from inaccurate data or delayed notifications.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Vehicle Log Vault, its directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Unauthorized access to your data
  • Vehicle damage due to missed or delayed maintenance
  • Any other matter relating to the Service

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Vehicle Log Vault from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Your use of the Service

11. Service Changes and Availability

  • We may modify or discontinue features at any time
  • Service may be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues
  • We are not liable for service interruptions

12. Data Backup

While we implement backup procedures, you are responsible for maintaining your own backup copies of critical vehicle information. We are not liable for data loss.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
